Mother’s Day — a day to celebrate the beautiful bond between mothers and their children. But it’s also a day to recognize that motherhood comes in many forms, some of which aren’t wrapped in the usual ribbons and bows.
What about the moms whose children express love in ways that aren’t traditional? The mothers of special needs children who may not receive hand-drawn cards or surprise breakfast in bed, but instead experience love in subtle, quieter ways — a warm embrace, a shared smile, a moment of connection.
Then, there are the mothers who carry their children in their hearts instead of their arms. The ones who have loved and lost, who still feel the presence of their child in every sunrise and gentle breeze. They continue to mother in ways that go beyond what we can see — holding onto memories, cherishing the love that will always be there.
And let’s not forget the women whose hearts are filled with love yet remain unfulfilled in their longing to be a mom. The women who nurture with open arms, whether it’s through caring for nieces and nephews, mentoring children, or being a rock for friends in need. Their love is no less powerful, no less significant.
Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate every kind of mother — the ones who hold little hands, the ones who hold onto memories, and the ones who hold hope close to their hearts.
So, if today feels a little tender, know that you are seen, valued, and deeply loved. You are a mother in every way that matters.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible women whose love lights up the world in ways big and small. 💖
